Hello, not if I have a problem in my verse or not, what happens is that every 200 km the car makes a regeneration of the particulate filter, no matter the type of journey, driving, fuel, provided every 200 km regenerates .
In the official service after several visits and push the issue, since I hardly realize city driving could generate such feedbacks, they tell me it is normal.
Anyone else happens?
Thank you

Hi Lestsar, how heavy is the regeneration? I only hear that this could happen if you drive only in lower rpm so the DPF will be going to closed. You write "no matter the type of journey". If it is every 200km I think it is not normal.

Thanks for answering, I driving car more higer rpm , but still has shortened regeneration, all these I have already mentioned in the official workshop, but they insist that they do not appear any failure in the computer and this all right.

I see also on my Verso sometimes a regeneration because of much smoke after a start at crossing lane f.e.. But I never check if it is all 200km.
Normally I think the regeneration should be every 2.000 to 3.000km. But I think I am not specialist enough in technical of cars. I hope you will find somebody here who give you more help than me because normally this forum is really very good and the members really help very good.Where do you come from? I see in your profile you life in Germany, you don't know the german language?
Maybe you will have more success if you type you question in German language.

Hi Lestsar,
I had almost the same problem. My Toyota dealer helped me solve it. There is a software update for the motor ECU (in German: Steuergerät) which will prevent excessive regeneration. Please have the software version of your ECU checked at your Toyota workshop. If this is not the latest version, have the software updated. In addition, this update safes you fuel (which is used for useless regeneration cycles before updating). For this software update and a few other modifications I paid 70 Euros.
I hope this information is of any help to you.
All the best,

Hello, my profile is wrong, I'm from Spain, but the forum had here regarding Toyota Verso has disappeared, and the only option today that I have to contact other owners of the same car is through this forum, I do not fluent in German, and little English so ...
Regarding the software update, in my Toyota workshop they neglect issues and say it's totally leave, so I do not which way to go
Thank you -
Hello again, I raise the issue, see if someone else can control how often our cars perform regenerations.
Thank you -
Hi
I'm driving my third (Corolla) Verso since 2010 with about 300.000 kilometer overall and I never saw ANY smoke from the exhaust at all.
The first one was the Corolla with 2.2 l and then the Verso and the facelift with the 2 l enginesThe Corolla had a tendency to higher fuel consumption on short trips at colder temperatures but this has disappeared on the 2 l versions
Currently my summer average is 6,64 and in the winter 6,83 l on 100 kilometers
Driving is very mixed from very short distances over the whole year (including Austrian winter) to urban road trips of 30 to 60 kilometers to 700 and more km motorway from cruising at 130-140 to squeezing out the last fraction of speed on empty roads
No smoke whatsoever even after short distance trips for a few weeks.

Thanks for the answer, but in my case no smoke of any kind , the only thing I see is the increase consumption post-injection of fuel when being regenerated, which can be seen in instant consumption of the display, exactly every 200/220 km.
